Get ready for an exciting, hands-on experience at our 3-hour tufting and custom rug-making workshop! Whether you're a complete beginner or have some creative experience, this workshop is designed to guide you step-by-step as you create your very own custom piece. Here’s what you can expect:

1. Studio Tour & Introductions (30 minutes)

We’ll start with a warm welcome and a brief tour of the studio, introducing you to the space and the materials we’ll be working with. You'll also meet your fellow creators during group introductions before diving into the creative process. We'll go over the basics of tufting, introduce you to the tools we’ll use, and give you hands-on practice to get comfortable before the real fun begins.

2. Designing & Prepping (30 minutes)

Now it’s time to get creative! You’ll pick out your yarn and transfer your design onto a tufting frame. Don’t worry if you’re not an artist—we’ll be there to help you trace and transfer your ideas onto the frame. We will have a booklet with images to choose from at the shop or you can email below with a picture of your rug idea prior to your workshop appointment!

3. Tufting & Finishing Your Rug (2 hours)

Here’s where the magic happens! You’ll use a tufting gun to bring your design to life. We’ll guide you through every step as you fill in your design with beautiful, plush yarn. After tufting, you’ll glue and apply the backing to your piece. Once everything is set, we’ll show you how to shave the front to achieve that perfect finish.

4. Wrap-Up & Group Photos

To celebrate your accomplishment, we’ll take some group photos with your creations. You’ll leave with a custom tufted piece of art, plus some unforgettable memories!
